Description
Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus)
Also known in Scots as Blawort, the annual Cornflower was once a common plant in farmers’ fields but is now rare in Scotland due to modern farming methods. It grows vigorously in open, sunny sites with rich, well-drained soil and produces large, intense blue flowers that are a great nectar source. If you would like them to flower again you must re-sow every year.
- Grows up to 60 cm
- 50-150 seeds per packet
